Wow, it's been a while since I've posted on here, hasn't it?

Feelin' groovy

Sep. 11th, 2006 | 09:35 pm
hanging out : in bed
feeling: chipper chipper
listening to: Saint Etienne - I'm Too Sexy

My new "meds" (supplements, really) came today. I'm very happy about that - not only did I finally receive them, but I also got to see my friend the UPS delivery guy again.

I've been feeling pretty good anyway the past couple of days, so I'll wait a couple more days before reporting on any new effects from my supplements.

I got some new shoes yesterday. I think I'm going to post about all that on MySpace.

Have yerself a merry little evening. Cheers!

meds

Sep. 9th, 2006 | 12:43 pm
hanging out : at the book store
feeling: okay okay
listening to: scary local radio station

I recently found out about a new, all-natural supplement for depression and that sort of mental illness, which I checked out and ordered. I have been waiting anxiously for the product (EmPower, it's called) to show up at my doorstep. Apparently it can take about 10 business days for delivery.

In that time, my regular prescriptions have run out. Well, I can still buy more, but the ones I had on hand have all been used up. Seeing as I am on a somewhat limited budget, and my meds are expensive - and I've already spent the money on the EmPower - I really don't want to buy more of my regular meds.

So far, I'm OK. I've been feeling very tired, but other than that, relatively positive. However, today I am beginning to "feel it". I know I will be OK till the new meds come, and I'm pretty sure they should come Monday, but it's kind of scary...

I can feel myself heading down. My body feels a bit odd. I'm getting a little shaky.

I will be OK.
The new meds will come, and everything will be great.
I can hang in there. I know I can.
Just say a prayer for me that it won't be too long.

First day of school; First steps

Sep. 5th, 2006 | 11:35 pm
hanging out : in my cozy room
feeling: chipper chipper
listening to: Pulp - His 'n' Hers

Today was Katya's first day of Gr. 1. From what I could tell (from what she would tell) she had a really good day.
Mother Willow
The highlights:
(1) Although they have tables in her classroom right now, in a couple of weeks they will have real desks.
(2) They don't have to use the Kindergarten bathroom anymore. They now use the girls' bathroom just down the hall. And they are not allowed to have parties in there.

Holly had a pretty good day, too, to say the least!

Holly is almost 14 months old. She has three teeth. She has been toying with standing on her own for the past several days.
Today, Holly took her first four steps! We weren't making an effort to have her walk - she just did it completely on her own. I was so happy, I cried!

It was a very good day for Mommy.
